Terms and Conditions

1. BOOKING

1.1.    Except for the "Gold Ticket" the Ticket is valid for one year from the date of issue and it is your responsibility to book the Flight and fly within that time - booking is subject to seat availability at the time of booking.

1.2.    Customers who attempt to book in the final month of the Ticket validity period must accept one of the two Flights offered in the period before the Ticket expiry date otherwise the Ticket will cease to be valid.

2. CANCELLATION

2.1.    Sometimes we have to cancel a Flight for reasons beyond our control, such as the weather or a mechanical breakdown. We will do our best to notify you as soon as possible and offer you an alternative date or time. 
We regret that, in these circumstances, Loch Lomond Seaplanes is unable to reimburse travel, accommodation or any other expenses you may incur in relation to the cancelled Flight.

2.2.    The passenger named in the Ticket may contact our reservations and transfer the Ticket to another person and by their acceptance of that transfer, they accept these terms and conditions. The transfer is subject to the payment of an administration fee of £25.

2.3.    You should contact us immediately if you need to change or cancel your booking. In this case the cancellations terms are as follows:

2.3.1. "Platinum Ticket": you may cancel or change your booking with no penalty until 24 hours before the Flight after which a cancellation charge of 100% will apply.

2.3.2. "Gold Ticket": you may cancel or change your booking until 14 days before the Flight, however, an administration fee of £25 will be charged for a cancellation. Less than 14 days notice of a cancellation by you will incur a charge of 50% of the Ticket price. Less than 7 days notice of a cancellation by you will incur a charge of 100% of the Ticket price.

2.3.3. "Gold PLUS Ticket" : A cancellation of a booked flight by you will incur a charge of 50% of the Ticket price. Less than 7 days notice of a cancellation by you will incur a charge of 100% of the Ticket price.

2.3.4. "Silver Ticket": you may cancel or change your booking with no penalty until 3 days (72 hours) before the Flight. Less than 3 days notice of a cancellation or change will incur a charge of 100% of the Ticket price.

3. REFUNDS

3.1.    Loch Lomond Seaplanes will refund on unused tickets (i.e. no flight reservation made) within 7 days of purchase.

3.2.    In the event of a Flight cancellation for reasons outwith our control, such as the weather or a mechanical breakdown, refunds will be made in accordance with the terms of your Ticket as follows in 3.2.1, 3.2.2, 3.2.3 and 3.2.4 below:

3.2.1. "Platinum Ticket": entitles you, subject to the conditions, to either one of the following two refunds under paragraphs 3.2.1.1 and 3.2.1.2.

3.2.1.1. Monetary Refund– you are entitled to a monetary refund for each  "Platinum Ticket" if you do not fly on six booked dates because the Flights are cancelled by us or our pilot. If you decide to take this refund then the following condition applies: you must notify us in writing that you want a refund, instead of flying, within 14 days of the date booked for the last Flight attempt.

3.2.1.2. One Half Monetary Refund - You are entitled to a monetary refund equal to one half (50%) of the amount paid for each "Platinum Ticket" if you do not fly on three booked dates because the Flights are cancelled by us or our pilot. If you decide to take this early opt-out, then the following condition applies: you must notify us in writing that you want an early opt-out, instead of flying, within 14 days of the date booked for the last Flight attempt and before the date of the fourth flight booking.

3.2.2. "Gold Ticket": entitles you, subject to the conditions, to a full monetary refund of the amount paid for each Gold Ticket if your flight is cancelled by us or our pilot. If you decide to take this refund the following condition applies: you must notify us in writing within 14 days of the booked Flight date. If you decide to rebook these terms and conditions will apply to the new Flight date.

3.2.3. "Gold PLUS Ticket" : No refund is available on unused tickets (i.e. no flight reservation made). Subject to the conditions, you are entitled to a full monetary refund of the amount paid for each “Gold PLUS Ticket” ONLY if your booked flight is cancelled by us or our pilot. If you decide to take this refund the following condition applies: you must notify us in writing within 14 days of the booked Flight date. If you decide to rebook all “Gold Plus” terms and conditions will apply to the new Flight date.

3.2.4. "Silver Ticket": no refund is available and you will be booked on the next Flight with available seats.

3.3.    If you have purchased a Ticket or package pursuant to a “2-for-the-price-of-1” or “buy one get one free” offer, the full price Ticket or Ticket will be treated as having been redeemed first. We will not refund the value of the “free” Ticket or package.

3.4.    Even though you are bound by the terms and conditions in this Contract, we are not able to provide a refund or exchange if you have purchased your Ticket or package from someone other than us.

3.5.    Refund requests must be made in writing. Refunds are always made to the person who purchased the Flight Ticket. If the Flight Ticket was originally purchased by credit or debit card, the refund will be credited to the same card within 21 days of receiving the written refund request. If the card has expired you will need to request a refund in writing, quoting details of a new card.

3.6.    You must return the Flight Ticket(s) at your cost to our office, before a refund will be issued.

4. GENERAL

4.1.    To cater for short delays customers must allow three hours for the participation of their seaplane experience.

4.2.    Children under twelve years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

4.3.    Save when specific prior arrangements for guide dogs have been made, animals are not permitted on the Flight.

4.4.    Neither smoking nor consumption of alcohol is allowed aboard the aircraft. 

4.5.    Electronic devices may only be used with the specific prior consent of the Captain.

4.6.    Due to baggage space constraints, only one small piece of hand luggage is permitted, unless by prior agreement. Items we class as dangerous or unacceptable may not be taken on the Flight (ask our staff for the current list).

4.7.    We strongly recommend that you telephone us prior to setting out to check the status of the Flight.

4.8.    We reserve the right to divert the Flight for technical or safety reasons and if we do so, we will make all necessary arrangements for accommodation and/or alternative transport to return you to the start point of your Flight.

4.9.    We reserve the right to search you and/or any baggage you may have either before or during the Flight.

4.10. We reserve the right to refuse to carry you and/or any baggage you may have, if in the sole opinion of the Captain of the aircraft, it may endanger or adversely affect the safety or health or materially adversely affect the comfort of other passengers or crew, if you refuse to submit to a search, if you appear to us under twelve years or age and are unaccompanied, if you do not have a valid Ticket for the Flight or if the Ticket is not fully paid.

4.11. You must arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time of the Flight. We may depart without you if you fail to arrive for the Flight in due time to embark prior to the scheduled departure time, in this case, a charge of 100% of the Ticket price will levied.

4.12. You must advise us well in advance of the Flight of any condition, illness or special needs you may have that might affect your ability to fly. We will do all that we can to accommodate such condition, illness or need subject to the practicalities of doing so and subject also to our overriding obligation for the safety of all passengers and crew and the aircraft itself.
